How to Install X-Bean ROM on Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000

 Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 came with Android OS v2.1 (Eclair) and is upgradable up to Android Gingerbread. This was sufficient when this smartphone was released in 2010 but now if 2013 if you are still using this smartphone and are aching for a new OS then here we bring you with a custom ROM named X-Bean ROM which can be installed on  Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 and provides the features of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.



The procedure to install X beam ROM on Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 is as follows:

  1. First you will need to download 2 files which are X beam v3.0 and landscape fix. In order to download them visit the following links: http://www.xdafileserver.nl/index.php?action=hotlink and http://www.xdafileserver.nl/index.php?action=hotlink.
  2. Copy both these software's to you memory card in the same form in which they were downloaded. This can be done via a data cable.
  3. The next step would be to switch off your phone and restart it in the clockworkmod recovery mode.
  4. The next step would be to reset the factory settings of your phone. Recheck that all previous data it wiped off. Because it will not accept the software without it.
  5. The next thing to be done is to clear the cache memory. To do so, go to advanced settings. Then select "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and continue the process.
  6. Once you have totally cleared your memory, install X Beam's zip file from the memory card. To do so, go to the main menu and select "Install ZIP from memory card". Then locate the file X Beam v3.0 and install it as per the regular procedure.
  7. In a similar manner, install the landscape fix ZIP file. The "Lanscape_fix" ZIP file will be one below the above mentioned X Beam file in the file list sequence of your memory card.
  8. Once you are assured that both the files are installed, simply reboot the system and the software will be a part of your app menu. 
  9. Now you can use this software as per your needs. Enjoy!

Basic Requirements

  1. This software is custom made for Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000. Please do not use it for any other product.
  2. Please make a backup of this app to prevent problems in future.
  3. Your phone should be fully charged before using this app.
  4. All anti virus soft wares should be deactivated as they interfere with this software and its functioning.
  5. The clockworkmod recovery mode should be well activated before installing the software.
  6. All cache memory files should be erased before installation.

Precautions
